Spending time to immerse yourself in an intensive meditation retreat offers a multitude of benefits for individuals seeking inner peace and self-discovery. It provides a much-needed respite from the demands of daily life, allowing participants to detach from distractions and fully immerse themselves in the practice of meditation, which promotes deep relaxation, stress reduction, and mental clarity.

For yogis whose commitments and responsibilities prevent them from embarking on overseas trips or participating in residential yoga retreats, or just need a simple weekend to recharge, we are thrilled to announce our upcoming Weekend Meditation Intensive, right here at the Nithya Priyan School of Yoga.

Our Weekend Intensive will provide a unique opportunity for both beginners and experienced practitioners to come together within the calming environment of our school and immerse themselves in Silence and Stillness. This intensive has been specially designed to provide the same enriching experience that one would typically seek from international or residential retreats.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During this Weekend Intensive, you can look forward to:

44 Hour Meditation Teacher Training

We are excited to announce our upcoming 44 Hour Meditation Teacher Training course, which not only aims to empower individuals with the means of transmitting their experiences to others but also emphasizes the importance of giving back to the community. As we embark on this training course, we recognize the significance of giving as we receive. Our intention is to create a community of compassionate and empowered practitioners who can share the gift of meditation with others, spreading peace, wisdom, and light.

Through this 44 Hour Meditation Teacher Training, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to guide others on their own meditation journeys.

Beyond the technical aspects, this course will emphasise the importance of cultivating a compassionate heart and a deep understanding of the human experience. As meditation practitioners, we recognize that everyone's journey is unique, and our role as teachers is to hold space for others without judgment or attachment. Through experiential learning, discussions, and practical teaching exercises, you’ll develop the capacity to create a safe and inclusive environment for your future students.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRACTICE

  • A half hour mock class conducted during the course with feedback

  • Assignment during the week for continuity of your practice

  • Invitation to conduct a livestreamed half-hour community meditation class

  • If you have a 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training Completion Certificate, you’ll be eligible to apply to become a teacher for the next term of our Term Teaching Program.

UPON GRADUATION, YOU WILL RECEIVE

  • A Completion Certificate

  • If you have a 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training Completion Certificate, your course is claimable for 44 Hours of Continual Education Credits with the Yoga Alliance.

  • Alternately, you can count the hours of the course towards your 300 Hour Certification with us, by continuing to take course modules to fulfill the full 300 hours.
