Nithya Priyan School of Yoga is not just a Yoga Studio, but a beautiful community of like-minded yogis. In light of the recent outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and its local transmission among Singaporeans, please remain vigilant as ever to ensure your own health and the health of your fellow yogis. Let’s stay calm and act from our Hearts and stay as a mutually supportive family that supports each other’s health and well being.
Please Observe the Following:
Do not come to class if you are sick and are exhibiting flu-like symptoms, HOWEVER MILD. These include runny nose, sneezing, coughing, sore throat and fever.
Do practice with a mat towel or travel mat to place over our mats and keep it washed regularly.
Do wash your hands with soap or hand sanitizer for at least 20 seconds before and after class and refrain from touching your face.
If you need to cough or sneeze, cover your mouth with a towel or cough into your arm.
Step out of class and move to the toilet area if you need to clear your nose or throat in class.
What We are Doing to Ensure Your Safety
We will work to extend any package/ membership and refund late class cancellations due to sickness up to 14 days. Show us your MC on your next visit to have the number of days you have not attended classes reinstated into your existing packages and memberships.
We will continue to uphold our level of cleanliness in the studio and will start to make available Hand Sanitizers for use to supplement hand washing at the earliest.
Our teachers will continue our practice of checking if you prefer not to be touched or adjusted.
Our teachers have been briefed to limit physical adjustments and assists to only what is necessary for your safe practice and to refrain from touching any part of your face.
We run strict temperature and visual checks and will refuse class admission to anyone exhibiting flu-like symptoms for the safety of the other students.
We have altered our schedule so that class start and end times for our 2 rooms do not overlap. This will ease congestion in the common area.
Did You Know?
Our studio is known for our levels of cleanliness and hygeine even before the Covid-19 pandemic! Mats always wiped between classes and spaces always cleaned and sanitized. Our obsession for cleanliness shows in every corner of our studio.
Since starting our operations in November 2017, we have reduced the number of mats in both rooms steadily in response to customer feedback. Our yoga spaces have the safety of low class sizes and a one meter minimum distancing between yogis (as is prescribed by the gov.sg Advisory Section 15b dated 13 March 2020)
The Manduka Studio mat that is used in our studio is a closed cell mat. Although slipperier than open cell mats, it is also non absorbent to perspiration. This means any bacteria or viruses will not be trapped in the structure of the mat and easily wiped off and disinfected.
