This 2 day workshop qualifies for 6 Contact Continual Education Units (CEUs) and 1 Non-Contact CEU for Yoga Alliance upon completion.

As a Yoga Teacher, have you ever felt nervous and unprepared when a pregnant student comes to your yoga class? Or are you a practitioner who would like to continue regular classes safely during pregnancy?

Join Catherine (ERYT200 YACEP) in a two day workshop understanding the physical requirements of each Trimester of a Yogi’s pregnancy, and discover practical, safe and insightful ways of supporting the practice of pregnant Yogis in your classes. Build confidence in your role as Yoga Teacher ensuring a competent assessment and handling of this tricky situation!

We will discuss a variety of topics including:

  1. Overview of Different Stages of Pregnancy.
  2. Changes in the body that influence practice.
  3. Special conditions to take note of.
  4. Contraindications & modifications.

The workshop facilitated by Catherine will cover both theory and practice, and will include relevant documentation to support your learning. It is suitable for:

  1. Teachers who would like greater confidence in guiding an open class with both pregnant and regular students.
  2. Expecting mothers who would like to know how they can modify their practice during pregnancy.

This workshop is the first of several in the "Teachers Toolbox" Series, a curated selection of workshops hosted by Nithya Priyan School of Yoga relevant to Yoga Teachers and designed to add competancy, confidence and direction to your teaching.
